Elizabeth Smalley
Elizabeth Smalley joined MFDA in 2007 as Director of Government Relations and Counsel. Prior to coming to MFDA she worked as a legislative aid to State Representative Edward Gaffney (R-Grosse Pointe Farms). Email Elizabeth Her earlier political experience includes senior legal assistant to the House Majority Policy Office, legislative assistant to State Representative Mary Ann Middaugh (R-Paw Paw), and office assistant to State Senator Walter North (R-St. Ignace).
Elizabeth completed her law degree at Michigan State University College of Law in 2006 and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. She received her B.A. from MSU in 1999 in Political Science & Pre-Law studies.
Elizabeth, who is originally from Macomb Township, now resides in East Lansing with her husband Joseph Smalley. She is active as an advisor to students on the campus at MSU and volunteers for the Michigan Arthritis Foundation. Email Elizabeth
